The historical Homewood State Bank was transformed into a modern boutique hotel and restaurant white maintaining the properties historical integrity. Great care was taken to preserve and reuse original features, such as the vault door and safety deposit boxes.
Linden Group Solution
The transition between hotel and restaurant occurs at the vault original gate which was re-purposed as a screen wall dividing the hotel and restaurant. A main feature of the restaurant is the bank vault and it's massive pneumatic door. The vault room houses a break-fast buffet in the morning and a private chef's table during dinner service. As guests move through the space, they encounter more subtle hints of the properties history, as safety deposit boxes decorate the back bar and host desk.
The historic elements blend seamlessly with modern design touches, in example patterned floor tile, minimalist light fixtures and unique dining chairs/ deluxe finishes are used throughout the space, thus elevating the French Bistro concept to on that is more befitting of the grandeur of this historic building.
